Summer Treatment Program 2009
The Center for Children and Families is now accepting applications for the 2009 Summer Treatment Program.
Who is Eligible: The program is open to children and adolescents entering 1st through the 11th grade with academic or behavioral problems. All families currently in a study at the CCF are encouraged to attend.
When: The program will run from June 29th, 2009 – August 21st, 2009. The camp day is from 8:00 AM to 5:15 PM.This is a unique opportunity for your child or adolescent. Children entering grades 1-6 will spend the day playing sports and engaging in recreational activities with other children their age. They will also participate in swimming, social skills training, and spend 2 hours per day in a classroom setting working on academics and behaviors conducive to academic success. Each group will consist of up to 15 children and 4 staff members. Adolescents entering grades 7-11 will spend their mornings in a secondary school setting, building academic and organization/time management skills. In the afternoon, they will participate in recreational and problem-solving activities designed to build social and leadership skills. Adolescents also serve as paid junior counselors in our program. All groups participate in special activities on Fridays.
Where: All activities will take place on UB's Main Street Campus.
Cost: $2,500. Once your child’s application is reviewed and your child is accepted to the program, a $500.00 nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve your child's space. The remainder of the tuition, $2,000, is due on or before June 19th, 2009.

Please return all applications to Karen’s attention. Once your application is received and reviewed to determine your child’s appropriateness for the program, you will be mailed an acceptance confirmation letter. You will then be contacted to set-up an informational appointment. Families will be expected to make their deposit at that time. (Families may send in their deposit in advance if they are certain they would like to reserve a spot for their child. We accept checks made out to UB Foundation, Visa and MasterCard. Families who are currently participating in the Behavior Modification in Young ADHD Children Study, the Adaptive Treatments for Children with ADHD Study, or families who have completed a CCF application as of 9/2008 do not need to fill out a new application but should contact Karen to set up an informational appointment and to be included on the STP list.
