Parent Resources
When seeking services for children's behavior problems, it is important that parents be educated consumers. For more information about ADHD, see "What Parents and Teachers Should Know About ADHD".
There are many treatments offered for ADHD that have not been shown to be effective. Hundreds of studies in peer-reviewed journals have proven that there are three well established treatments for childhood ADHD: 1) Behavior modification, 2) Medication, and 3) a Combination of Behavior Modification and Medication. For more information, see our information sheets on psychosocial treatment and medication.
The CCF offers many evidence-based treatment programs and services for ADHD. We also conduct clinical trials in which qualifying children may be eligible to receive diagnostic assessments and treatment.
The CCF offers free in-service presentations to PTA and SEPSA organizations and other community groups. For more information, please email lbm@buffalo.edu.
